Brand identity for a Fresno-based nonprofit supporting survivors of human trafficking.

Breaking the Chains is a Fresno nonprofit supporting survivors of human trafficking. Through services that provide safety, healing, and empowerment, the organization builds pathways to independence and hope. Guided by compassion and resilience, it has become a trusted Central Valley leader, committed to ending exploitation and creating brighter futures.

  • Breaking the Chains needed a refreshed identity that captured both the strength of their mission and the compassion at the heart of their work. My role included designing a modernized logo, refining their visual system, and creating brand assets that could adapt across digital and print platforms. The result is a cohesive identity that communicates hope, resilience, and trust while amplifying the organization’s powerful voice in the community.

The original logo used a broken chain and bold lettering that felt dated and limiting. The refreshed identity introduces a modern mark and wordmark that convey strength and empowerment, creating a versatile system for digital and print use.

Deep purples and vibrant accents convey strength, resilience, and hope—transforming the brand into a bold public presence that invites community involvement and sparks meaningful conversation.

The refreshed identity was designed to live seamlessly across both physical and digital platforms. From apparel to social media, the bold new logo and color palette unify the organization’s presence and empower advocates to proudly represent the cause.
